Deep Dives
A six week therapy container for making deep lasting changes in a specific area of your life
Can therapy hold space for seismic shifting?
Can a therapist hold space for us to dive deeply into one aspect of ourselves?
Can therapy be used to make significant change?
Can we change our relationship to ourselves in a short time?
Sometimes therapy can feel like a slog. A weekly return to a similar place, the same slow progression, the same rehashing. Deep dives asks deeper questions. Creates a beginning middle and end to the work. A container that can hold us accountable to ourselves to make real and lasting change.
Current Offering:
Self Accountability and Pattern Shifting
We all have habits and patterns that are difficult for us to shake. What are your most troublesome patterns? Do you bite your fingernails? Stay up too late? Do you get stuck in rage? Self sabotage? Do you forget to wash the dishes, never fold the laundry? Are you over-committed and never say no or do you find that you wish you said yes more often? Are you stuck in thinking or head stuck in the clouds?
Do these troublesome patterns and habits lead to negative self talk? Many people struggle to make lasting changes with the cycle negative self-regard, difficult patterns and healing. Often times we commit to healing or making changes, but our patterns stay stuck, reminding us of old thoughts and wounds. Perhaps there is guilt and shame associated with the inability to change and this creates little room for self-compassion.
We look to a therapist to hold us accountable but what if we held ourselves accountable? What if we were able to, with support, find a new relationship with ourselves, our patterns and how we talk to ourselves.
Taking a deep dive into self accountability can help make that change!
What can I expect from Deep Dives?
Who can take part?: Any one! New clients, old clients, current clients too! Anyone who would like to take a more focused approach to therapy that has a specific beginning and end date.
How is it different from regular therapy?: Weekly sessions themselves will be much the same as standard therapy sessions. The difference is in intention and focus. Both therapist and client will be looking at resistance, excitement, motivation, habits, thoughts and patterns of the specific topic at hand. Knowing that there is a specific time frame to work on topics allows for a more sturdy container.
What skills will we be using in this space? Somatic mindfulness, self-compassion exercises, identifying goals and values, curiosity, parts work, looking at family and ancestral patterns, talking about structural oppression, setting up daily practices.
