“Working WITH Emily sets her practice apart from others. It is a collaborative effort. The progress you’ll make comes from within yourself. She will guide you there - rather than fitting her solutions into your world. Through our time together I have gained a better understanding of myself and the tools I’ll need to continue my personal growth.” — CL

“I feel so lucky to have found Emily. She is incredibly kind, and I leave every session feeling inspired to treat myself with more compassion. Since working with her I feel much more capable of coping with my anxiety and depression, and able to prioritize my emotional well-being. She is an amazing support to have in one's corner.” —BR

“Emily creates a space where all of my identities can be present and held. She gently pushes when needed to remind me that I’m human and doesn’t get in the way if I’m working through something. She’s a grounded presence and sits with patience, knowing that with time and care, I’ll find my way back to my own grounded presence. She helps me get out of my own way so that I can open up to the light that’s always there.” — CC

I Am Emily Munce, LMHC

I am a therapist trained in Holistic Counseling. I am a relationship builder, a holder of great spaces and a change facilitator. I work with people who long to feel valued, heard and understood but who feel buried under the weight of their fears and past experiences. I allow my clients room to discover their own worth and capacity for change so they can get excited about the possibilities that are available to them.

I know from my own struggles that self-compassion is innately held in the body and can be a path to great healing. I believe that every person—no matter their life story, identity, or beliefs about themselves—deserves the opportunity to experience a full life.

I have over a decade of experience working with women and men who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues or a negative relationship with their bodies. I have studied Holistic and Spiritual Counseling, Mindfulness Practices, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Practices, Intersectional Feminist Theory and Narrative Therapy. I have also studied herbal medicine for several years. It is my view that healing is truly “holistic” encompassing people as their whole; body mind and spirit.
